A relaxing, enjoyable, pressure free virtual book club! Grab your favorite drink, a delicious snack, and unwind with a group of peers as we dive into engaging text! Miss Kristie, a reading 316 instructor with 8 years experience, will be your guide as you spend your time reading, discussing, and exploring literature.
Take the pressure of reading off your to do list! You will be provided with extensions at the end of each lesson that continue work with the common core standards for literature and writing.
This book club is intended for students reading at an independent DRA 40-50 (3rd - 5th grade reading level). The cost of the class will include the book, which can be picked up or delivered for an additional fee.

Reading Support for You and Your Student
Parents, lets face it, reading instruction can be time consuming, confusing, and there is the big questions of, what do you do when your child isn’t making progress?!
Let Lily Pad Lab and Miss Kristie, a reading 316 instructor with 8 years of experience, take away some of the pressure of reading instruction as you are guided through step-by-step virtual instruction to create a comprehensive reading plan for your student.
Over the course of 5 weeks you will receive:
- An overview of the stages of reading
- What foundation skills to teach
- Strategies to teach the foundation skills to help ALL readers
- How to create comprehensive lesson plans based on your learning
- Answers to your reading questions
This course is intend for readers working at a DRA 18 and up.
*Additional 30 min 1:1 sessions can be added for $15. Theses sessions could consist of additional parent support, a running record followed with a list of strategies to support learning, or a demonstrated lesson for one child.
